Sorry Mr. Clapton, I think there WILL be tears in heaven...

Ironically, the song is mainly focused on the tears you have when you are sad, but of course most of us know firsthand that you can also cry when you are very happy and although I confess that it has been a long time since I've cried 'tears of joy', that too is a good feeling. The other ironic thing is people call them 'tears of joy' and many Christians come to discuss and understand that joy does not necessary mean being happy but simply being content or accepting of all circumstances, even those that bring you situations that cause you pain.

As I was trying to get back to sleep this morning, this topic has gone through several revisions and additions in my mind that I finally decided it was time to get some of this on 'tablet form'. I know it has been a many moons since I last posted any blog post and there are many blog posts I have been wanting to work on and never got around to and at least this particular topic is probably going to get revised and included in my book at least, that which I've also been procrastinating much. Anyhow, the topic of my post today is going to be about the 'other' tears actually, the ones where you cry and it's not so happy. I actually think these tears are an important part of our character and as it says in the bible, part of how we are made in God's image as I recall from what my friend discovered to be 'the shortest verse in the bible', "
